The Acne Blues: Singing The Acne Pimple Song

Acne Free in 3 Days
Read How

You wake up one morning, and stumble to the bathroom mirror to wash your face and brush your teeth. As soon as you've cleared the sleep from your eyes, you look up into the mirror to discover - to your horror - that you've had an acne breakout during the night. Whether this is your first battle with acne, or your tenth round, it is clear that you will be singing the acne pimple song for a while.

The acne pimple itself typically lasts for two to five days, however, during this time, more acne pimples can appear. Furthermore, it can take up to twelve weeks for the red mark that is often left by acne to disappear completely. How long you will be singing the acne pimple song varies from person to person. The best way to avoid singing the acne pimple song, is to prevent acne before it starts.

Make sure that you keep your hands and hair off your face. Hair and hands contain oils that contribute to the outbreak of acne. Wash your face at least twice each day, washing with warm water, and doing a final rinse with cold water to close the pores. This will help protect your pores from the environment.

Drink lots of water, and eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. The water will help keep the skin hydrated, and detoxify the body, and the fresh fruits and vegetables are full of vitamin E and vitamin A, which help promote healthy skin.

Eliminate or reduce the amount of makeup that you wear. If you must wear makeup, make sure that you use hypoallergenic makeup, or makeup that is designed for sensitive skin. Rinse your face with cold water before applying the makeup, and make sure that you remove all of the makeup before going to sleep at night. Never use makeup to cover acne, as it usually only serves to make the condition worse and slow healing.

When acne does breakout, avoid popping or squeezing the pimples. This will make it worse, and cause further outbreaks. It can also leave scars. Instead, wash your face well, and treat the area with topical cleansers designed to cure acne. Take good care of your skin. Make your skin care regiment a daily habit, and you can avoid singing the acne pimple song in the future.
