Other vitamins to clear skin disorders include the members of the Vitamin B complex: thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pantothenic acid (B5), pyridoxine (B6) and cyanocobalamin (B12). Each of these nutrients plays its own role in keeping not only the skin, but the whole body, healthy. Moreover, the vitamin B group can also help reduce stress, which is a contributor to acne. Experts warn, however, that intake of vitamin B12 should be monitored closely because it can actually worsen a person�s acne condition if too much of it is taken.
Vitamin C, another powerful antioxidant and a metabolic regulator as well, is necessary to boost the body�s immune system and to prevent diseases. Its antibacterial properties can help stave off and heal acne infection. Numerous fruits and vegetables are teeming with ascorbic acid, or vitamin C. And, like most other vitamins, it is available as a dietary supplement in most pharmacies and other retail stores.
Selenium, chromium, zinc and berberine are other vitamins to clear skin woes. All of these nutrients have anti-oxidative properties, wound healing capacities, and antibacterial functions. These vitamins are beneficial to skin tone, condition and health, but always keep in mind that too much of everything can have a negative effect. Remember to take them in their appropriate dosages, and they will help keep your skin looking fresh, young and healthy.
